Shakenya Wardlaw was born and raised in Detroit. Her mother, addicted to crack, raised her to believe that in spite of her upbringing she could still achieve her dreams. But getting there would not be easy. Her book, Dysfunctional Family, Not! details that climb. Shakenya lives in Detroit and is the divorced mother of three children. She recently received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and intends to continue her education with the goal of one day becoming an attorney. |
